A CHURCH THAT WORKS!
What's different about Living Christ
Fellowship? We are a church where Leadership and Ministry belong to
every gifted member of the body, not just the professionals. Worship
is participation rather than observation, and Witness is relationship instead of salesmanship.
Here where sins are confessed to one another, and forgiveness shared--sometimes with tears and laughter. It’s where training Children is a lifestyle that involves “uncles” & “aunts” in natural settings, not a program that happens in a room one hour a week. As we meet
unpretentiously in homes & apartments, we find we rely less on ourselves, and more on the presence, power & purpose of
Christ.

Apostle's
Teaching Method
“We
loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the
gospel of God but our lives as well.” I Thessalonians 2
|
|
NURSERY
We have a
private area for nursing mothers on Sunday mornings. Just ask.
|
|
CHILDREN’S
CHURCH & CHOIR On all but the first Sunday of
the month, children from age 3 to Grade 3 are welcome to participate in
special learning times during the Pastor’s Sermon, based upon sequence
lessons taking them through Scripture. On First Sundays, we have a
special family service for all ages, including Holy Communion.
|
YOUTH
GROUP currently meet
right after the Sermon, from 10:15 to 11 a.m., with a monthly fun activity.
UP COMING YOUTH EVENTS:
·
Camp Aloma “Snow
Days!”
Feb. 10-11.
We will drive up
Friday evening, and return Saturday evening...Fun Games, Singing and
Program will connect us with youth from all over Arizona!
YOUTH CONFIRMATION
We start new groups or do individual
mentoring, as needed. Every youth has an adult mentor also, who becomes like an uncle
or aunt in the faith. .
Personal visits with the Pastor, annual retreats, and other events
included. |
|
YOUTH
CELLS
We provide a variety of Cells for Jr., Sr. and
College Aged Youth as needed, both for discipleship and evangelism.
Youth desiring to be trained become the leaders of multiplying cell
groups. We’ve seen one
youth cell multiply repeatedly, powerfully effecting their entire High
School! |
FAMILY STYLE LEARNING
Research
by the Augsburg Institute for Youth
and Family has shown that hearing the faith and prayers of parents,
grandparents, and close family friends is far more important than any
amount of Sunday School or Youth Group participation to engender faith in
our youth. That’s why at LCF we live out “family
style learning,” rather than “classroom
learning.” |
| ·
In INTERGENERATIONAL
FAMILY CELLS spiritual values are caught,
rather than merely taught
while interacting with other believers.
In families, everyone can achieve and be appreciated.
There is food, fellowship, sitting in circles—and learning is
informal. Everyone is both
learning and teaching. Personal troubles matter, and everyone ministers
and prays. The aim is to change
lives and commit to Christ and each other. |
| ·
In CLASSROOM
LEARNING there is rarely food and everyone sits facing the teacher.
Trust relationships and commitment are not essential. Personal
problems interrupt. Some
people achieve and are rewarded. The teacher talks and the students
listen. The aim is to complete the lesson.
|
| ·The
families with children and youth at LCF
have discovered that often the best learning happens outside the walls of
schools, as life is happening, and we are bonded together responding to
the world around us. |
